Thanks for dropping by! I'm Laura Edwards, a graphic designer and story artist based in the Washington, DC metro area. I specialize in brand design, digital multimedia such as UI design and motion graphics, and illustration, as well as storyboarding and comics (you can check out examples of my story art at my other site).

 I like to take complex ideas and break them down in such a way that still contain all the depth and subtle details of the original material but make them easy to understand.

I also love to create stories featuring characters and issues from rarely explored viewpoints, especially for those that feel invisible. I believe that art plays an important role in society that serves to demystify those things that are hard to communicate in any other way, helping to solve problems that otherwise felt impossible. They also let people know that they're not alone in a thought or feeling they have, even if it's something like "Oh my gosh, I thought I was the only one who likes to roll up their peanut butter bread like sushi before I eat it!"

When I'm not working on art-related things, I love to cook, learn about weather, earth sciences, and psychology, and jam out to video game and show soundtracks (the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon series is criminally underrated).
